Diesel & Power Equipment Mechanics senior Kaden Warner (home school Fairfield Union) recently passed his CDL Class A (no automatic restrictions) test and is now able to drive big rigs in Ohio. Kaden currently works at Central Ohio Oil and is already putting this new skill to work.
Kaden is working on earning his “Tanker endorsement” and plans to become a part owner in his brother’s trucking company after graduation.

Air Evac Lifeteam 107 out of St. Louisville recently paid a visit to C-TEC to give public safety students a hands on experience. #SkillsMatter
After landing the gig, Elf Baby Brooks headed off to the LPN lab to get a checkup and to make sure his vitals are good. We need to make sure he is up to the hard task off being C-TEC’s Elf on the Shelf.

Clinical Care seniors are using family members as phlebotomy patients. We recently held our first family volunteer event!
Students are required to complete 30 successful venipuncture draws (sticks) and 10 capillary draws prior to sitting for their Certified Phlebotomy Technician exam in mid-December.
We appreciate the family volunteers who helped them reach this goal.

C-TEC and Robertson Construction just hosted their first Construction Day program of the school year at Licking Valley Middle School. It's a great opportunity for students to have a hands-on experience related to all careers in construction.
And this is just the start - we will be visiting Utica, Heath, Johnstown, Lakewood, and Blessed Sacrament/St. Francis this school year - and to hoping to add a few more middle schools to this list!

Our Veterinary Science seniors recently paid a visit to Ohio State University’s Large and Small Animal Hospitals!
Students got a behind-the-scenes look at surgery, isolation, the laboratory, oncology, physical therapy, equine sports medicine, radiology, and farm animal medicine. They also met a variety of patients receiving care — including a camel, a reindeer, horses, cows, goats, cats, dogs, and llamas!
It was an amazing hands-on learning experience that gave students a real look into the world of veterinary medicine.
