Recently 5th graders from Coshocton came to our Postsecondary Center to learn about careers and postsecondary education options. The careers come later, but the work starts now!

More high school students than you may think are taking advantage of career-technical education. In 2021, over 127,000 students in Ohio chose to pursue CTE at one of 99 career-technical high schools. Not only do these students explore their interests and aspirations, but they also have a high chance of continuing their education or pursuing additional certifications. CTE is for every student and offers a diverse range of career fields, academic and organizational honors, and extracurricular opportunities. It's time to shatter the myths and discover the benefits of CTE for yourself.

Fire/EMT senior Makena Burtnett helped save a life while attending church recently. During the service a fellow parishioner collapsed and went into cardiac arrest. Makena and her mother started CPR and were able to get a pulse back before EMT arrived. Makena said she was happy to be able to put the skills she has learned to save a life. Well done, young lady! Proud of you!

Held our first electrical safety training recently at the Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority. 9 Licking County manufacturers and contractors were represented.
This training was a partnership between C-TEC Postsecondary, Licking County OMJ, and HNLCPA.
It was a huge success, and we are looking forward to holding more trainings this year with these great partners.
