Stella, the Licking County Sheriff’s therapy dog, showed up to our Jill of All Trades event in style—then insisted on her own shirt.
Can you blame her? She’s got skills too!
Still smiling about such a fantastic day.

All Electrical Trades juniors secured employment in the field for the summer, and most have already qualified for Work Based Learning for next year. This is a regular occurrence for that program!
Recently retired instructor Greg King says, “We push the students hard to get to that point and make it an expectation rather than an option. Students come back focused and motivated to finish their senior year.”
Proud of all of them!

New students in our postsecondary Cosmetology program give history lessons pertaining to the career field as part of the program. It is always interesting the things one learns during these presentations.

Today, June 14th, is Flag Day.
Long may it wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave!

We had another very successful year for the postsecondary Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) program, with 100% retention and 100% program completion!
These are stellar results for a program that is only in its third year!
We want to give a BIG shoutout to our EFDA instructors- Kris Hall, Tara Sheppard, and Tara Rhoads! THANK YOU for your dedication to this program and our students! You are AMAZING!
Looking forward to starting back up in the Fall!

Lakewood/C-TEC IT student Reece Wellman was selected to be a 2025 Summit STEM fellowship student! This summer, he will participate in a learning program led by graduates from Harvard, MIT and Stanford that will mentor and help him learn how to address learning disabilities using technology.
Reece is the first student from Lakewood to ever receive this opportunity and we are so excited to see what new things he will be able to do for our community in the future!

No better way to learn about different careers than by picking up a book! Students at Everest Elementary School (Licking Heights) took time to sit and read some of the career specific books our Career Development Department brought to their Career Day event this spring.
Careers come later, but the work starts now!

Work Based Learning seniors worked 80,950 hours, and earned $1,313,387.05 this past school year.
Well done, all!
