Congratulations to Madilynn Chiapetta, the first female graduate of the our Postsecondary Center's Precision Machining program!
From February through August 2026, Madilynn embraced the challenge of learning one of today's most in-demand skilled trades. Even more impressive? Weeks before graduating, she was hired by THK, where she plans to continue growing her career with the long-term goal of working in the company's Machine Center.
Madilynn, a 2022 graduate of Lakewood High School, discovered Precision Machining thanks to a friend, Victor, who couldn't stop talking about the program. After visiting the lab just once, she knew she'd found her future and started the enrollment process before leaving that day.
Her passion for machining also runs in the family. One day, Madilynn hopes to follow in the footsteps of her father, who has built a career as a machinist for nearly 30 years.
We're incredibly proud of everything you've accomplished, Madilynn. Thank you for blazing a trail for future students and showing what's possible through hard work, determination, and skilled trades education.
Congratulations, and best of luck at THK and beyond!
