With the closure of schools for the remainder of this school year C-TEC will plan the reopening campus process following the protocols as set forth by the Governor's office. These protocols will pertain to students and staff and will align to the Governor’s direction as closely as possible.

Phase One- The campus remains closed to students and staff, with exceptions already in practice.

Phase Two - CTEC  continues following stay at home/work from home protocols for all non-essential staff.  Depending upon guidance from the Governor, we may begin to grant greater access individually on need-based circumstances.

District leadership is developing plans for pickup of personal items and property as Ohio moves through the phases. This plan will be based upon the Governor’s guidance and designed to protect our essential staff who are currently working, all other staff, students and families.

The Secondary and Adult Education centers have been in contact with students and parents and specific information that pertains to those affected concerning fees, classes, etc. will come from those sources and also be posted on our website and social media.

As we have said and continue to convey, this is a very fluid situation and we appreciate your understanding and patience.

Beginning Monday, May 4, 2020 facial coverings will be required for:
All employees who are scheduled to work
• All employees who have permission from their immediate administrator to enter the building
• All Adult Education Students (when we announce the pick-up process for HS students, they also will be required to wear facial coverings)
• All Adult Education clients

Honors Ceremony and updates for seniors
This year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are holding our annual Honors Ceremony virtually. The ceremony will be broadcast on our Facebook page and YouTube channel at 7:00 PM on Friday May 22nd.
We are also honoring our seniors by running billboards for each program over the course of the next month or so. Each week we will feature 4 programs on the following four digital boards located in Licking County.
The boards are located at:
North 21st St in Newark (across from Walmart)
Rt. 79, at the intersection of Irving Wick Dr.
Rt. 13 & Deo Dr. (across from the Duke Station)
Rt. 16 & Dayton Rd. (stoplight by Matesich Distributing, heading into Newark)
Below is the schedule of programs and what dates their boards will run.
May 8-14: AUT, CC, CT, CJ
May 15-21: AED, ACR, CC (group 2), COS, CA
May 22-28: DA, DPM, DDI, ELI
May 29-June 4: ECT, FMS, MA PES
June 5-11: RAM, TC, WLD, MF
The boards are digital boards, so the displays rotate through on a set schedule.
We are proud of the class of 2020, and we feel these methods are the safest manner in which we can honor their achievements during these unprecedented times.
Thank you for supporting each other, and C-TEC.

We are continuing to monitor and follow guidance from ODE and the office of the Governor. As there are new updates, we will communicate through our website and social media.

About Us

The majority of tomorrow’s jobs will require people to have technical training. Many careers require some post-secondary education or college, but not necessarily a traditional, four-year college degree. The technical curriculum at C-TEC's high school directly prepares students to enter the workforce AND a two or four-year college degree program.

Many adults want to upgrade their skills and credentials faster, better, and cheaper.  Many employers want the same for their workers and they want it around the clock.  C-TEC’s Adult Education Center provides all of that along with superior customer service.

At C-TEC we help our students make successful transitions, regardless of their stage in life. Our mission is clear: to...”provide all learners with academic and technical skills needed for career opportunities and continuous learning.”
