Job Type: Classified; 260 Days; Benefits

Salary: Technician Salary; Starting salary $40,064 (salary placement based on years of experience)

Reports To: District Technology Coordinator

Qualifications/Skills: The IT Technician is responsible for administering, monitoring, and planning of the district technology infrastructure. Demonstrate keen understanding of educational processes and the ability to identify, evaluate, and implement programs options, auxiliary services, and curricular materials that support the diverse learning needs of students. Ability to evaluate and resolve routine technical problems. Proficient in computer software languages, applications, tools, database management systems, operating systems, and hardware. Possess thorough knowledge of state-of-the art, school-related technological infrastructures hardware, and software, applications of technology to classroom; and current trends and issues in education including adult learning styles.

Adult Education:

Career Counselor, Part-Time

 Licensure: Minimum of Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field preferred. Bachelor’s Degree required. Three to five years career counseling experience required. Licensure by the State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board, Licensed Professional Counselor, and/or professional certificate by ACA, NCCC, and School Counselor Licensure preferred. Some direct experience with business and industry preferred. Must be able to work one or two evenings per week as needed to ensure student access to career counseling services are available. Hours may vary based on time of year. Able to demonstrate modern Job Search Skills (interviewing, resumes, networking, etc)

  Description: Employee will review client’s education level, work history, personality, and skills then suggest careers that match their background and abilities. Help clients understand salary expectations for selected careers that will give them the greatest balance of financial payoff and job satisfaction. Understands local, regional, and national employment needs as well as current/future demand occupation trends. Assist people who are entering the workforce, losing their jobs, between jobs, unhappy with their career choices, improving their career choices, and entering new professions. Develop/maintains career services for businesses, students, and the public. Help with job-related issues, such as finding work, setting career goals and dealing with stressors that could affect retention while in school (i.e. coping skills, study skills, housing or transportation assistance, etc). Interprets aptitude and achievement assessments, to help people evaluate their interests, skills, and abilities. Adheres to professional counseling standards, including licensure and/or certification.
