Computer Networking & Applications (CTP) Minimize

Technology is knowledge
Computer Networking and Applications (CNA) provides you with the critical skills needed to compete and thrive in the computer technology field and proceed to a post-secondary education program. Courses include:
  • Computer hardware
  • Operating systems
  • Basic network theory
  • Network devices, design and troubleshooting
  • Routing and switching basics
  • Network security and management
    Knowledge is power
You will use your knowledge and skills to complete a Senior Capstone Project. This project takes you from choosing an area of interest; conducting in-depth research to writing a technical report; demonstrating problem-solving, decision-making and independent learning skills by creating (with the help of industry mentors) a product or process to solve a problem; to making an oral presentation.

Taking you where you want to go
Even though you’re still in high school, you can get a jump on the competition and your career through the Computer Networking and Applications program. You’ll have the potential to earn several industry standard certifications such as A Core Hardware, A Operating Systems Technologies and Network by the end of your senior year. You’ll graduate prepared and knowledgeable about the field.

The Computer Networking and Applications path to success also can include our College Tech Prep program at the Central Ohio Technical College (COTC). At the same time you are completing your high school requirements, you can earn college credits (saving you and your parents money) and be much closer to that associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
