Putting it together
The Computer Machining Technology pathway can prepare you for some of the highest paying and in-demand career opportunities. The experience you gain through this program is real. If qualified, you’ll have the chance to participate in the School-to-Apprenticeship program to obtain your apprenticeship certificate while still in high school.

Operation machinery
The comprehensive Computer Machining curriculum includes:
  • Blueprint reading
  • CAD CAM
  • Carbide tool theory and grinding
  • Computer Numerical Control (CNC)
  • Layout, assembly and fitting
  • Machine operation of the lathe; horizontal and vertical mills; surface, bench and cylindrical grinders; and drill presses
  • Machine setup
  • Mathematics
  • Properties of metal
  • Safety regulations
