
Blueprint for the futureOur School-to-Apprenticeship program can give you the opportunity to work in the field, gaining experience and skills, and networking with community professionals. As a result, you'll work toward your apprenticeship certificate, earn money and further your skills—all while you're still in high school.
A solid foundationThe Building Trades curriculum is credentialed through the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER), a nationally accredited and industry recognized standard of program quality.
The curriculum includes:
OSHA 10-hour card
Blueprint reading and sketching
Building materials—brick, block, concrete, glass, metal, stone, wood and other composite substances
Cabinetmaking
Framing
Interior and exterior finishing
Layout and cost estimating
Basic plumbing
Roofing
Safety—care of hand and power tools
Basic electricity
Basic welding
Basic architectural drawing
