Report of Bullying Incidents

In compliance with Ohio Revised Code 3313.66 and Board Policy 5517.01, C-TEC Secondary Education Center has had 12 cases of bullying, harassment or intimidation substantiated on school property as of January 8, 2014. 

Safe School Helpline
Safe School Hotline (1-800-418-6423 ext. 359) is available to report any safety issues or bullying that needs brought to the attention of the administration.  Also, contact any Secondary Center Administrator at (740) 364-2832.

 Announcements for 10-28-2014

*Johnstown seniors:  Information about your senior trip is in your bulletin board basket.

*Lakewood students:  The Powder Puff game will be held November 13th.  Admission at the doors will be $3 for community members and $2 for students. 

*You can purchase your yearbook for $45 now through November 7th. Drop off your order form and payment to Mrs. Stone’s mailbox in the office. Hard copy forms will be dropped off on Tuesday. If you would like an order form emailed to you, please request one by emailing Mrs. Stone at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Checks need to be made payable to Lakewood High School.

*Northridge seniors:  Baby pictures are due by December 1st and senior pictures are due March 1st for the yearbook.  Also, if you are interested in being in the senior spotlight in the Viking Volt, please look at your bulletin board for more information.

*Northridge students:  Basketball sign ups are taking place for the high school.  If anyone is interested in playing, please have them e-mail Ms. Willeke. Basketball tryouts will begin on November 7th.

*Watkins students:  Also, the Powder Puff game will be held on November 7th.  Information to play is available in the Counseling Office.

*Seniors from Johnstown, Licking Heights, Licking Valley, Northridge, Utica, and Watkins:  A Jostens representative will be here Wednesday during the lunch periods to collect your cap and gown orders.

*OGT tests will be given this week.  Students are to report to the multi-purpose room on the following days:  Friday—Social Studies.

*Take advantage of making up an excused absence before it’s too late!  Sign up in the Attendance Office today to serve your Saturday School this Saturday.

*If you have a family member who served in the armed forces, please stop by room 101 and pick up a registration form to attend lunch here at C-TEC on Veteran’s Day.  You can pick up forms at Lin’s desk.  Forms are due Monday.

*The C-TEC creative magazine, Innovator, and its staff would like to thank everyone who submitted art to the first contest of the year. Beginning next week, they will be having their second contest looking for your best writing.  Poetry, short stories, and essays will be considered to be featured in the magazine, and the winner will receive two free lunches to the Bistro!

*John H. McConnell scholarship applications must be submitted by February 27th.

*The deadline for the next ACT is Friday, November 7th and that test date is December 13th.

*There will be a Nursing Open House on November 15th from 10:00 – 12:00 at OU Zanesville – Elson Hall.

*Zane State College is holding their admission and scholarship open houses next week in Cambridge and Zanesville.  Students can apply for admission, learn about their academic program, receive information on financial aid, and receive an academic award scholarship on the spot if they qualify. Students need to take their official transcript in order to qualify for academic awards scholarships. They can also see which academic award scholarships they qualify for by visiting
