Certified Circuit Board Solder Training through IPC NEW

"Understanding surface mount and thru-hole techniques."

C-TEC provides IPC Solder Specialist Training (CIS) to IPC J-STD-001D. Standard Certified IPC Application Specialist (CIS) training and certification is recommended for any individual who uses an industry standard, including operators, inspectors, engineers, buyers and management.

Tuition $910, includes 5 modules, exams and industry sample. Standards and certification paperwork, $90. (If taking separate modules, each would include the standards and certification paperwork for $200.) Tuition for each module $185.

Mandatory – Module 1, General requirements of J-STD-001 and applicable documents, general soldering requirements and module exam.

Optional – Module 2, Wires and terminals, plus final exam
Optional – Module 3, Through hole mounting and terminations exam
Optional – Module 4, Surface mount technology and exam
Optional – Module 5, Inspection methodology and exam

IPC recertification and challenge testing for the J-STD-001D CIS is also available, please call for details.

Earn a 10-hour OSHA General Industry safety card. Learn the basics of identifying and abating safety hazards. Topics include walking and working surfaces, exit routes, emergency action plans, fire prevention, powered platforms, manlifts, vehicle-mounted work platforms, hazardous materials, personal protective equipment, machinery and machine guarding, tools, electrical, welding and cutting safety and toxic and hazardous substances.

Construction OSHA Safety Training, 29 CFR 1926

Earn a 10-hour OSHA Construction safety card. Learn the basics of identifying and abating safety hazards. Topics include general safety and health provisions, personal protective and life saving equipment, fire protection and prevention, signs, signals, and barricades, materials handling, storage, use and disposal, tools (both hand and power), welding and cutting, electrical, scaffolds, fall protection, cranes, derricks, hoists, elevators and conveyors, motor vehicles and motorized equipment, excavations, concrete and masonry construction, steel erection, demolition, rollover protective structures and overhead protection, stairways and ladders, toxic and hazardous substances, inspections, citations and proposed penalties, recording and reporting occupational injuries and illnesses.
